I’m a software engineer, game developer, Unity expert, road-traveller, photographer, & artist. Professionally, I am the Head of Product & Engineering for SpellBound AR, a small company that creates video-games, medical tools, and education programs for pediatric patients.

SpellBound AR— Head of Product & Engineering — Aug 2019 to present

  • Led a multidisciplinary team to develop ARISE, an augmented reality (AR) role playing adventure.
  • Helped plan a digital strategy, brought the game to market, and helped onboard 12 hospitals.
  • Worked with doctors & medical researchers to design analytics systems for game research.
  • Conducted interviews, hired, taught, and managed 4 technical interns, 4 UX interns, and 2 artists.
  • Wrote and published 76 custom Unity packages to facilitate reusing code between apps.
  • Built 10 arcade-style games for ourWaiting Room Activities product line.
  • Built an AR educational program that teaches children about MRI procedures.
  • Built a Hololens app to augment medical mannequins and show medical conditions in AR.
  • Redesigned thousands of lines worth of deprecated systems, and used assetbundles and AWS S3 hosting to optimize our runtime experience.
